Absolutely ridiculous broadcasting. The commonality between all anti Southgater's is that you just don't like him. The reasons why are rarely ever the same. If he picks new players and leaves out someone he knows all about, you criticise him. If he's left with no option to go into a difficult away game with your main centre back squad members injured, you're wrong for picking the only experienced defender and should be picking another uncapped player?

I disagree with Carlton, if there was anyone better in his position then fair enough, Maguire offers an aerial threat at set pieces as opposed to Guehi coming through who is excellent but doesn't have the height, you can't be changing players based on form as you would then get no fluidity, when Stones and Maguire play tpgether they are excellent, also at least Maguire is fresh and will have no knocks, as for the Ward-Prowse argument, he is not good enough at international level, apart from corners and free kicks that others like Trippier are just as good he offers nothng else, don't forget the likes of Eze is coming through and could have an influence at the Euros next year, BTW Ujraine are a good team and no pushover so lets take the draw and move on, that's football,nobody wins all there qualification games

England is stagnating as a team because Southgate wants does not want to give opportunities to players on form who can form good relationships with some players already on that setup. What is going to all of a sudden make that team go up a level to beat the big boys?

Southgate seems like a nice bloke, but he's a BUM of a manager. If the team does well, it's down to the large pool of talented individuals we have, who are key players in the biggest clubs around europe. You reading this, as a manager would get better results and play better football with the squad available
Sterling situation is disrespectful. Has been the main England threat in big tournaments. Threshold for Sterling is lower if he has a few bad games, Chelsea made all players look bad last season.

Southgate’s getting away with murder. Hows Ben white is not in the squad but maguire is, is a criminal offence. And I’m not even an arsenal fan. People love to say this myth that maguire doesn’t make mistakes for England. Are they okay? Do they actually watch the games? He was piss against Germany. He goes and marks mark guhei against Ukraine for a goal they score from. Absolute joke.
Remember when an average manager like Roberto Martinez was given the golden generation of Belgian players to mold into an all conquering team? Exactly! Its the same with Southgate. He's pissing away this generation of players. Its not his fault, he's average and is incapable of being better. The players he has at his disposal are more than capable of doing better than they are. But half of them don't get picked because he likes his current 'group'. The man winds me up. The FA need to grow a pair and deal with it.

I question the meritocracy of the England squad now. This doesn't send a good message to those who are working hard to get into the England squad esp. Picking those who are not even in Europe or haven't started for their clubs for a while over other regular EPL players.
Southgate’s a plonker, constantly contradicting himself, not choosing players that are actually playing or inform. Against any decent side he instantly goes back to the 5 at the back, 2 holding midfielders and mount on the wing to help defend as well. Best team we have had since the golden generation. Have to get someone else in now!
Jordan Henderson getting game time is inexcusable
As a scottish fan, it is ridiculous that I fancy our chances on Tuesday considering the difference in quality. Southgate is just useless. Having no manager would be much better

Southgate is a yes men he was luckly with teams we drawn against.
If I was premier league player and able too play for England and wasn't picked due too form or even I wasn't a replacement for and injury then I would retire from England duty. I think it would take many players too pull out too do so.
Kane is great player, tho how do we know what other options or style we could use if we dnt play another option. He taken players too look at yet never use them. Maguire shouldn't be there Henderson also past it so move on. He has favourites clearly yet what if one of them are injured he hasn't let anyone else bed into the team. Henderson should go as a supportive role like Beckham did that one year. Not as a player. Konsa been incredible for villa yet not a mention from media at all. He been better then mings too.
I think FIFA don't have a plan B for next manager that's why Southgate in charge.

I think Southgate picks his team based on experience, the tried and tested players like Maguire that had been performing well for England consistently. Southgate is afraid of making a mistake, so he picks players that got England to the finals. But the issue with that mindset is England can never reach the next level which is by winning a cup if Southgate isn't open to taking chances.
Its just a friend thing. He picks his friends. Simple.
