Personally think Zibanejad is not just better offensive player, but better 2 way player. Just wish he was better at faceoffs. He needs to shorten his sweep on the draw. They both have skills but I think Zibanejad has a touch more. Aho has more resolve though. A bit more mental toughness. It seems Zibanejad tends to let his err's get to him. Aho gets more edgy when things aren't going right.
I’m taking Aho over Zibanejad every day of the week. Aho is 4 years younger and hasn’t even hit his prime yet and that’s scary to think about. Aho is valuable in all situations on the ice and is an elite goal scorer and elite shorthanded scorer. It’s not even close in my opinion who will have a better career and who is better right now. Aho>Mika
If you put Mika in Carolina, he puts up 60-70 points. If Aho goes to NY, he puts up 80-90. He plays in a dump and chase system. Also not to mention Aho is very good defensively (not saying Mika isn't, but Aho is better), good at faceoffs, and easily one of the best forecheckers in the league. Aho has more value in Carolina than Mika does in New York. Giving it to Aho as lets not forget, during the COVID years he was on pace for 50 goals. He can be a goal scorer, not to mention hes amazing shorthanded. Aho is also 4 years younger, and I'm very confident will have a better carrer.
