Today we’re talking about one of the most underrated trades that the Montreal Canadiens have pulled off as of late, and oddly enough it involves Marco Scandella.

We’re talking about a trade related to top Habs prospect Sean Farrell, as well as Tampa Bay Lightning prospect Jack Finley.

  1. Meh 19 year old playing on a powerhouse team in a weaker league. There's a reason he was nowhere near team usa's radar for the world juniors.

  2. Man scandella, that guy, when he got traded here he got traded to my hometown minor hockey team, and we where all so hyped it was so fun to watch, when he scored that goal vs Toronto, the practice later was so fun, we where all so hyped for Scandella and he was a legend in my hometown, so it gave us hope that we could make the NHL : Sebastian Collberg

  3. So, Bergevin traded a 4th round pick for a 2nd round pick and a 4th round pick. That's a nice flip!

  4. You forgot to mention the most insane part of this trade… Bergevin gave Buffalo a 4th and flipped him to St Louis a couple months later for a 4th and a 2nd! Bergevin has actually rag dolled a lot of GMs these past five years.

  5. Ive been following Farrell for a while, u should see him pass man, Ive literally followed him (with my eyes),and so have the D, and he has let the puck go like 15 seconds ago!! lol, he is gonna go well with Caufield!!

  6. YAY!! another undersized playmaker forward like this team doesn't have enough of them lol. Now they need to go out and actually find players that can score

  7. Think it's kind of hard to call this trade underrated right now, Farrell looks like he could be great but he hasn't really proven much yet

  8. Should of took the big guy, they have too many small guys. During the end of the season and playoffs the rules loosen up and the big team easily shuts down the smaller team/Habs. Only reason they went to the finals is Tampa was the only team with size, style and know how to shut them down but there's many others they avoided with the pandemic format. Two or three small guys is fine but you need size too to battle the boards, effectively check big puck carriers and apply enough quick defensive pressure to disrupt the opponents offense forecheck and backcheck. Bumping an opponent after they already cleanly played the puck is useless. Gotta have a presence without the puck. Scoring 15-20 goals isn't much good when you're -30 with a $10.5 million goaltender. With the regular season format planned, you'll see the usual downhill spiral start @ January. Hope I'm wrong.

  9. Habs have a nice team on paper for next year. Only Corey Perry is missing… they should have signed him even if they had to keep him sat down.

  10. I pretty much never take into account the body drafted with the picks that have been traded. I think it is not conductive to a fair evaluation of the trade since the main action leading to the "getting a good asset" part of the deal has nothing to do with the trade itself… So I'm gonna go with no, this is far from the most underrated trade by Big Marc Burgervan! Quite the draftee though I will admit but we'll see… Habs have been chasing the next Martin Saint-Louis since before their PP coach was born and have mostly reaped extremely humiliating sweeps in the playoffs…

  11. Jack didn’t play this season because he had shoulder surgery. Y’all keep sleeping on jack tho

  12. They have a LOT of work to do to break even from all the BAD moves this team has done.
Letting dude go to the Kings is an absolute joke and Romanov/Sergacheav would be nice in the habs dressing room.
Over spending on Price that never netted them a cup too much for Subban too much for Gallagher too much for Drioun just bad move after bad move you cannot fill a roster capable of the cup by over spending and letting good prospects go.
