I don’t know if they would take Allen’s full salary, and I also don’t think Hughes would be willing to use his last retention slot on Allen. He will definitely want one open for the deadline.

Allen is in decline…Time to move him out ..Besides..Is it fair on our young defenceman that each mistake they make ..the puck ends up behind Allen ??? Let's get some decent net minders to at least give Habs a chance..
Interesting stat I noticed on Jakov Novak, 131 PIMs for Janesville in the NAHL before his freshman year. I'm not too sure if he'll make an NHL impact but considering that the Habs have an injury issue and may have to call up guys from the ECHL this year
Mtrl trading a goalie to Colorado is not a great history for the Habs.
