The Breck boys soccer team fell to rival Blake 3-2 in the Section 5A final Thursday in Osseo.
Blake controlled play in the first half and took a 1-0 lead on Will Mortenson’s goal about 25 minutes into the match.
Breck tied the game late in the half on a header by Parker Sargent.
The second half was unusual, and a little controversial.
Blake was awarded three penalty kicks in the half.
Gunnar Evenstad stopped the first one, but Jackson Lagos converted the next two to give Blake a 3-2 lead.
Breck scored with just under two minutes left to pull within 3-2 but ran out of time.
Blake is the defending state champion in class A.
