while he does have the most points out of all defenseman which is very impressive by a 23 year old, I still don't find him that great. He has incredibly gifted offensive teammates in dallas, like sharp, seguin, benn, spezza, and more to basically give him assists every game. Subban and karlsson have around the same points, but with less offensive threats, which is why I find klingberg to be somewhat overrated
This guy is great already, but by playing with benn, seguin, sharp, and spezza, he's unstoppable. This is a playoff team for sure, maybe even a cup team
Watching this made me realise Nichushkin is going to be trade bait. He was a healthy scratch in way too many games this season. and I cant see them sending Val to the minors. Klingberg on the other hand played very well despite some mental errors which led to goals. Klinger outscored that former Norris winner in Montreal, P.K. Subban, and the one in Nashville, Shea Weber, whch tells me Klinberg should start receiving some serious consideration as a Norris Trophy candidate. As far as that goes, there were only four defenseman in the league who Klinger didn't outscore. He's a great offensivr talent, but now he needs to develop a mean streak.
