An amazing human and good friend, Brian Humphrey has put on an incredible charity event for the past number of years called ‘Climb for Cancer’ where folks would climb the stairs at Tim Hortons Field (Pro football/soccer stadium) for 60 minutes to see how many laps they can complete while raising money for charity to fight cancer!!
This year, because of COVID-19, the climb needed to go virtual, and I wanted to do something a little special to see how much we can spread the word of support around the world and generate some donations for the food banks out there and help feed the hungry!!
So – here’s my challenge… to finish off my leg workout today – i did a set of ascending mountain squats!!!
For ascending mountain squats – you hold a deep squat for 1 second, then do 1 rep … hold 2 seconds, then do 2 reps …. hold 3 seconds, 3 reps … and so on until you say no more lol or scream like a monkey like I did lol.
I tried to see how high up the mountain I could climb … my goal was to make it 1 – 10 (55 total reps and 55s total holding deep squat) … TO FINISH MY LEG DAY!!!!!
Give the vid a watch to see how high up the mountain I made it!!!
I challenge you, to do the same! See how far up the mountain you can climb!!
Record yourself ‘climbing the mountain’ … tag me (@theadamlloyd) and @ClimbCovidCanada with the #ClimbCovidCanada and tag 5 friends you want to see climb the mountain!!!
