In my opinion, the Lightning have one of the most plain jersey sets in the league. They’re not the Red Wings. The team deserves its own unique identity.
The primary logo features a modified version of the team’s current shoulder patch bolt. In my opinion, it’s cleaner and more modern then the current primary logo. A high gloss silver takes focus.
The home / away jerseys are my interpretation of a merging of the classic and current. The patterns feel familiar to the team brand, while still feeling fresh. A slightly more vibrant blue replaces the current blue. A dark navy blue replaces black from the team’s original color palette.
The first alternate is a modified version of one of my personal favorite jersey concepts I created in 2019. The arms feature bolts. The primary color is a subtle gradient with a unique pattern.
The second alternate is a slightly modernized version of the team’s original home uniforms. The classic logo has been simplified with “Lightning” removed from the bottom right corner. The “Lightning” wordmark has been moved to the inner collar. As with the other jerseys, a dark navy blue replaces black.

I just think the new circular logo you have is just kinda.. soulless. It’s not bold or timeless or aggressive, it just kinda looks like it doesn’t belong. I know you modeled it after the classic logo and tried merging them, but those forms tried to achieve two different styles.
The color blocking on the classic jersey is just what we should have normally. Introducing black into the color scheme again is a good idea, but on the revised jerseys I just think it could’ve been executed to either be more clean or classic.
