On this week’s SEASON PREMIERE episode of The Senstennial Podcast, Matt and Matt are joined by TSN hockey analyst, Jamie McLennan! We discuss Jamie’s expectations for the Ottawa Senators this season, what the Eastern Conference playoff picture looks like, and the impact of Michael Andlauer to the front office. We also discuss Ottawa’s off-season additions and departures, who Vladimir Tarasenko could find himself on a line with, and how Jake Sanderson’s long-term extension will age.

Giroux had 79 points, but he set a career high in goals with 35 (34 was his record)
Love Jamie Mclennan, good work guys! This year's Sens are last year's Sens with these main changes :
+ experience
– Debrincat – Brassard – Talbot* – Zaitsev*
+ Chychrun + Terasanko + Kubalik + Korpisalo
+ Norris & Forsberg back
(-Joseph or -Branstromm?)
That's a lot more plus than minus (*and some of the minuses are actually a plus!)
Love the nickleback / room tour, peak senstennial moment 😂
Sens are top 3 lock in the Atlantic this year imo. I think this is the year they finally put it together. Even with a slow start, coaching change will be made and they'll thrive. Or… they just thrive right out of the gate. Hoping for the latter but expecting a coaching change after a slow start. I believe that was the only thing holding them out of the playoffs last year. I don't think they move anybody, somebody goes and IR and both Pinto and Sokolov are signed. Also think Smejkal makes the roster out of camp and plays with his countrymen Kubalik and Pinto. If they do move anyone it will be Joseph. Moving Brannstrom would be idiotic considering defence has been their weakest link for years and they finally have a solid defence core. They will need branny for top 4 role if injuries arise.

Korpisalo Forsberg Sogaard
Absolutely love Noodles. You guys seem to bring out the best in him. The Nickleback reveal was 🔥!
Sens need a good start here for sure. DJ likely needs them to be in the playoff race by the time they go to sweden orni think he gets replaced before or after that trip.. if they dont make the playoffs i dont see him or Dorion back next season
