  1. I started collecting hockey in 1989. Was in absolute awe the following year when Pro Set, Score, and Upper Deck (released in that order) came upon the scene, considering that Topps in comparison was cheap with its searchable packs, gray / rough cardstock, no photo on card reverse.

    Stopped collecting around 1995, then back at it again from around 1999-2002. Last pack I ever bought was 2003-04 Victory from a supermarket vending machine.

    Today, IMO is boring with only Upper Deck still around (I don’t believe they have an exclusive license). Would consider getting back into it if Topps (now ‘Fanatics’ in disguise) were back on the market, oddly enough.
