I watched the game, but didn't see any stats. It seemed like Montreal carried the play and had a lot of power play chances, but not much to show for it. They gave up a short-handed goal. I was worried that it was going to be one of those games where they would throw the kitchen sink at their opponent, and still lose, but I was glad to be wrong. It looked like they passed a few times where it may have served them better to take a shot. Maillioux played well, I liked Trudeau as well. Mesar seemed pretty decent.
FYI The fight was between 6'0" Mtl Riley McKay vs 6'7" Ott Djibril Touré. I am disappointed that there were no real standouts at the Mtl rookie camp but we (especially myself) must all remember that for many this is their very first pro camp and they are all super young and still developing. What I take away after watching all 3 games played…our goalies have been very good, we lack elite offensive talent at the forward position but we have great quality depth on defence. IMHO, I do not think anyone stood out showing they were ready to push for a spot on the Habs but there is a lot of future potential. I liked Dman William Trudeau's steady, unflashy, calm game play…I think he would be my first call up.
It's great that we have access to all these games. So good to be able to get a read on out prospects before camp. I really liked Mailloux, Mysak, Roy, Reinbacher and Dobes at the tournament so far. Go Habs Go!

Honestly I'm not sure any of them are truly ready. I thought Beck was close sweet the first game. I see good plays but i also see bad plays.
One has to mention the sens goalie Meriläinen, tonight he stole the show.

I had lost all hopes that Mysak would be an NHL player. Hopefully he can prove me wrong.

Why oh Why can't we have even an average power play? Are there no power play coaches that can at least raise us from horrible to at least mediocre?

Riley McKay was solid vs the Bruins in the 2nd game. I really liked his energy and played with sand paper.
