I like Casey, if he can keep trending in the right direction with Granatto's guidance, I like your 30 goal scorer case for Mittelstadt. Cap central says Casey currently makes $874.125. Your in the ball park with the 2 Mil per. I'd try to sign him at 1.5 Mil per if possible. So some where around there is fine. Keep the good vids coming 👍
Since March 31 when the losing streak ended… 22gp, 9g, 8a, 17pts, +4, 41 shots (24.4%), avg ice time 17:23. Compare that to 5 pts in 19 games (and -14) before March 31. Casey is like Sam and Dahlin, a completely different player under Granato. (And yep, in that stretch Casey was on pace for a 33-goal season in 82 games). The BIG question is can he sustain it under Granato? Don't know. Can he sustain it under a coach not named Granato? Don't know. How much to pay him? Don't know. Cheap? Hope so!
He looked pretty good this season. I think he will get better. He's got good speed and a nice shot. Good third-line center. You have a fair assessment of the contract.
Casey really started to play well the last 10 games or so I'd like to see him and Tage on the same line next year next year is gonna be the year we finally make it to the real season I've been watching this team and they have a lot of talent keep what we have it's about maturity too experience this team started playing good hockey and we'll be ready next year "Scary Good" we will c as for now I'm hoping to watch the Leafs loose
His desire/hunger has improved. He came to a personal crossroads…. I believe. Jack hurt. Cozens may have inspired him. Pushed him. Like Cozens, he will fight for it. Watch for Mittelstadt and Cozens folks. Bright lights for Sabres.💪
We have a decent core of young players. Like Mitts we need to surround them with a different culture. Veteran coach , veteran captain and better goaltending. We need to start with goaltending 2 defenseman 2 forwards. We need some old school Grit. We need to put the "C" on a gritty two way player . And that one good on the ice as well as in the locker room. And that can handle the responsibilities and pressure of being the team's leader
Our current culture is sour. Veteran coach and veteran captain. We need players that play for the Crest on the chest not the name on the back of their Jersey. Playing for the Sabres needs to be an honour. Not like time spend in jail or just passing time. Top notch goaltenders, tuff/ruff Defenseman and forwards that play free. Because of the defense and goaltending behind them.
I mean no disrespect, but, I think that Sabres Fans are Settling Too Much. Per the Numbers, he looks like a perennial 4th Line Center, and I'd try to Package him with Jack Eichel to Chicago for a few of their Up and Coming Kids, if Chicago will part with some of the Kids.
Please tell me if you disagree. I'm of the view that they waited too long to shop The Infamous 3, and, that is the reason why that their Backs Are Against The Wall now in trying to get rid of these guys.

I only see one site that lists him at 209 lbs, the rest say 196-199. Did he really put on 10 pounds during the season? Is that a good thing?

I think 3 yrs at 2.8M is more reasonable
His shot, and release reminds me of Phil Kessel. If he shoots more he will rack up the goals. Just needs to work on his indurance, and strength.
