A lot of mediocre forwards, and goaltending needs help. Hopefully they address both..
A good trade freeze up cap space and give the Canucks experience gold tenner

If Pearson is healthy he's a 6'1" 220 # left winger that could play a good support role for Les Habs. And….Habs get a 3rd rounder.
Canucks get a decent backup for Demko.
Overall…as a Habs fan I like Hughes' ongoing management of the Habs' assets as he looks to rebuild.

The Nucks had to decide between placing Mikheyev on LTIR and lose him for a month, or make a trade with a sweetener attached. They must obviously know that the Russian should be ready to go in the first week or so of the season…thus they pulled the trigger. I hate to bleed another pick but jettisoning Pearson was a tidy bit of business. This should turn out to be the last "pick trade" the Canucks make.

I hope Pearson gets to play for them… He’s been out for way too long due to weird complications and the Canucks being in cap hell.
Also, I wonder if Poolman comes back ever? Why has he been on the LTIR for so long? Last I seen it was migraines… How would that keep a player out for so long unless it was very serious or just flat out cap circumvention. lol
