    Yay!

Unemployed for a whole 10 minutes

Love to hear this! Byron’s one of the more clear cut examples of a player who truly added to his game as his career went on.

He’s also someone who had to grind for his position, I’ll admit I’m biased towards the underdog stories but I do feel like there’s a lot a player like that can add in a development role. Just look at Marty!

That’s awesome! Glad he’ll still be part of the organization.

Glad he will still be around the team,

I do like that we’re hiring guys who had to fight to stay in the NHL constantly like Byron and Cube to be development coaches. These are guys who actually had to work on their game to even get contract offers and bounced around on waivers. I’d say bring in Desharnais as well to teach guys about dealing with fan pressure.

    Paul Byron,

    Carey Price,

    Marie-Philip Poulin,

    Francis Bouillon.

These are the people management has identified as role models for our rookies. The future is bright!

Amazing. Sends a good message to the young guys who aren’t necessarily top game breakers. Displays to them that hard work and loyalty to the club can have future benefits.

Pauly is exactly the kind of guy I’d want to be around if I were a young player. He seems easy to talk to and has been through it all; waivers, goal drought, late age breakout, injuries, Stanley cup finals, etc. really happy he is staying around.
