  1. The Avs have had a chance to acquire Drouin from TB since last year. I may not be an official NHL scout, but I think I'm the only one intelligent enough to realize why MacKinnon and Drouin work so well together. The whole is greater than the sum of all its parts. Here's why they work together and why the Avs MUST get Drouin if they expect MacKinnon to come anywhere close to living up to the expectations they had. MacKinnon is a shoot-first centerman (as they said here). MacKinnon has a great shot, release, and his explosive speed and strength helps him drive to the net. Drouin, even though he is a winger, is a gifted playmaker. He can make plays and feed MacKinnon all day. Drouin instantly makes MacKinnon nearly twice as better. Drouin is a "supercharger" and MacKinnon is the "engine". Put them together and now you've got a turbocharged/supercharged vehicle. Do you understand this? Usually it's the centerman who is the playmaker and sets up wingers. But in this case, the opposite also works well (a gifted playmaking winger setting up a shooting center). That's why Drouin and MacKinnon instantly make each other twice as good. The problem with the Avs scouting is they are using or trying to use MacKinnon like a playing making center, and that's why it's not working out. MacKinnon doesn't really have the ability to make his wingers better. That's why he hasn't had much success no matter who he plays with. What MacKinnon's strength is, is being the recipient of a great playmaking winger, and he can drive the net with his explosive speed and great release to score goals. MacKinnon is a good passer, and will also feed Drouin plenty of goals, but they are a unique duo that works anti-flow of the typical passing center – goal scoring winger. Trust me. That's why they dominated in the Q together. That's why they won the Championship. That's why they ended up going 1 and 3 at the draft. If you are the Avs and you want to rebuild properly, you need to learn how to put pieces together. You've got a tremendous engine and supercharger that fits perfectly for that engine. What hell are you waiting for?

  2. Looking back at this Tampa fucked up a bit Drouin turned into Sergachev but come on… Seth Jones and Hedman could’ve been linemates!!

  3. Drouin was supposed to be the most skilled in the draft.. Look how that turned out.. and He is small. Nathan mckannon is a franchise player…

  4. “passing up on seth jones might be questioned” barkov is an out of this world player then they got ekblad the next year who is a better player than jones

  5. Barkov just signed an 8 year 80 Million dollar extension to stay in Florida until he’s 34. He’s gonna be the best panther ever. Incredible

  6. Watching this in 2021 as a habs fan i really hope this is the season Drouin can break out i think it may be his last chance.

  7. I’m here after they just won the Stanley cup 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. Edit: not enough 🔥🔥🔥

  8. Speaking as a AVS fan. MacKinnon with over 600 career points and over 250 career goals so far, I think the AVS did very well indeed.

  9. Interesting seeing the Drouin pick now. Some scouts thought he was the best player in the draft. Skating and strength was the concern for him….they questioned if he can translate against men…the answer turned out to be not really. He had a couple decent years but he really busted

  10. it is amazing the charlatan known as Pierre McGuire is given all of these positions to give his opinion after his actions with the Hartford Whalers. No one should have to listen to his nonsense
