  1. Happy to see Ferland is feeling like himself, I know he was struggling for a long time with a concussion.

  2. What's the need to the fight here? No scrum after the whistle, no questionable hit, no extra jab for the puck. It feels like ferland needs to affirm his role….

  3. They really tagged each other. I don’t mind this at the beginning of games. Both teams play with more fire after.

  4. Ferland needs to keep the gloves on, he's more valuable to the Canucks on the ice, than off it.

  5. As a Flames fan, I worry about Ferland when he does stuff like this. He was a monster in the 2015 playoffs but hasn't been the same since due to concussion issues. Engaging in a fight when there rly is no need so early in a game is unnecessary. He should stick to the hitting (which is a danger in and of itself) but that's what makes him effective.

  6. Ferland in that 2015 flames vs canucks series was one of the most physically dominating performances I've ever seen. He is made for the playoffs

  7. Risky.. Nucks just pd a yr of his salary (3.5m) to sit out a whole year.. due to 1 or 2 punches his last fight a yr ago.. but good spirit. Would have liked more if focused it on a few guys that were roughing up Pete. Overall good spirit & he & team played well. Minn D is a problem ( & Van penalties)

  8. Someone was gonna get knocked out in this one if the linesmen didn't jump in.

    Two big boys throwing bombs.

  9. News is now that Ferland is out with concussion. And look at that last punch… Ferland was a decent player and didnt need to drop the gloves. Sad.

  10. Ferland looks very Healthy, I dont get what kind of concussion symptoms he has but I'm aboriginal native, tough it out man!!

  11. I’m an avid hockey fan through and through. Why in the heck with the history of concussions would they want or need him to play this role? It’s obvious that this is a lose-lose situation for Ferland himself and for the Canucks as a whole as well.
