Drummondville Voltigeurs defenceman Dmitry Kulikov was drafted 14th overall by the Florida Panthers at the 2009 NHL Entry Draft in Montreal, Quebec.

  1. I'm from Drummondville, and I'm so glad he ended up with the Panthers. I was worried he would be picked by Ottawa of Phoenix, but it couldn't be better for him! Nice, I didn't notice at once Dominic Ricard (Voltigeurs GM) and Guy Boucher (Volts coach) was there…really nice to see those two guy support him.

  2. @lochness1202 Yep! If I'm not mistaken, Boucher coached Kulikov when he played for the the Drummondville Voltigeurs in the QMJHL, so I think that would explain his presence there.
