Great show again boys! I think we get some kind of three way rotation between smith, poj, and mark p. Chad is steady but i believe its time to infuse more talent down there. I personally really liked what i saw from smith during his call up and how he was able to run the power play a bit a d walk the blue line. I have nothing against poj but he is a bit more vanilla than smith.
Do ypu gents think a third line of doc, ellars , vinny h. Makes sense for speed, forecheck, and potential offense. Then a fourth line of nieto, accari, carter. Maybe nylander as the 13th. Im not sold nylander can add enough offense to the third line to make him and everyday player, plus if he's not scoring, he isn't bringing what a guy like vinny can bring defensively and forecheck wise to sullys system.
Great insight as always guys!
My personal training camp surprise would be Jeff Carter getting it together. I know it's been covered on the podcast before but I really think with the full shake up in the bottom six that he will step it up. If anything I think the culture of the bottom six will help him out on the defensive front. It will free him up from burning his limited energy going the full 200 every night
And donât forget, MP can play wing and defence which is another plus to having him in the lineup
The new era begins once they rebuild. This is just the last effort from the old era.
