The Montreal Canadians make another off-season trade by sending goalie Casey DeSmith to Vancouver for Tanner Pearson and a 3rd round pick. Does Casey DeSmith fill the role enough in Vancouver to push them to the playoffs and will Kent Hughes continue to make these magic deals to bring the Montreal playoff window closer? Mark Pye and KC break down this trade, player fits and more on this episode of Hat Trick HQ.

Ok KC I give credit where it's do the GM for the Habs has been very smart what he's been doing to improve his team. Good luck to your Habs KC
But Mark would agree GO LEAFS GO CUP YEAR
Good trade for MTL
The Canucks needed to dump salary, that's the reason Pearson was moved. Vancouver doesn't need DeSmith either.
Great analysis
272 points in 590 games isn’t as good as you’re making it seem 😂
it is hard to assess the habs deals like this. general consensus amongst habs fans is that we know we are 3 years away from being relevant. so whatever we do for the next three seasons while not being meaningless, is almost impossible to gauge in the big picture. in a small picture – whatever habs do is fine as they strive for the .500 mark
Are we not early yet with tha pearson trade? lest wait and see what the player can do with the habs before claiming victory. on paper it is one thing but does on ice reflect the same? we will see. looks positive for now.
Pearson hasn’t played in forever and just got back from a botched surgery. And he wasn’t that good to begin with. The guy projects to be a $3 million butt plug.
Lmao 😂 Man are you guys in for a disappointment.
Both sides win for are canucks Pearson sucks now Montreal solid year no can't even said canucks right salary dumped 3,25
Pearson A+ ???? Lol ok habs fans.
