Here’s the two #NJDevils scrimmage rosters.. There’s some rotation there in Group B, down a D-man.

That Palat – Haula – Mercer line ~~could~~ will absolutely fuck
So this is kind of new to me (I’m sure it’s existed before I just finally found this stuff) having this level of access to preseason stuff being out of state.
Anyone more experienced with it know why
– Bastian isn’t with a more competitive line? I thought he was injured (in yellow) yesterday so maybe that is it but it also seems he is playing with the 7/8th lines. 4th line got out with group A, I get that. And they are giving Lazar and Nosek looks there. Again, makes sense since Bastian is a more known commodity to the team. But why is he not on the Dowling or Tierney line. Or not playing at all like L. Hughes and giving Brown/Squires/Friedman an opportunity?
– and speaking of L. Hughes, why would they not pull Cal Foote or Vucajevic from group A for the scrimmage rather than going with a rotation in group B? I’m sure either of them would appreciate the extra opportunity.
At the end of the day none of it makes much difference probably for the final 23. Just curious since again I haven’t had this much visibility in the preseason even when I lived in NJ a decade or so ago.
