  1. I think for such a scattered draft class I think Holmes and Campbell just choose who they thought was their type of football player

  2. He was the best Iowa player in my opinion. I had Campbell and Van Ness swapped from where most people had them, so I liked this pick 😂😂😂

  3. Watch them draft O'Cyrus Torrence and Joey Porter Jr. in the 2nd round and watch everyone say how good their second round was.

  4. As far as I’m concerned The Lions reached for 2 players they could of drafted in the 2nd round

  5. So just to remind y’all Holmes hasn’t been perfect and this sures it up. His 1st 2 1st round picks were gimmies and he let all the premier talent at premium positions and we didn’t get any of them

  6. Maybe Holmes is up to something but I hope we dont regret drafting Carter thanks for the vid boss LETS GOOOOOOO LIONS 💪🦁🦁💪

  7. Should just stayed at 6 and drafted 5th round flier with this logic.

Gibbs could have got at 18 99% likelihood
Campbell could have received 2nd round 96% probability

But who cares lions always implode with dumb picks

  8. Gibbs and Campbell are good football players. Gibbs is a weapon in the backfield which arguably gives the Lions the best RB room in the NFL. The Lions needed RB and LB. So they took the best player’s available at positions of need. The Gibbs pick also netted an a pick swap of pick 81 for pick 34. Holmes added value to his pick at six when the two defensive players he wanted weren’t available.

  9. I like Gibbs potential but mannnnnnnn the reaches in the 1st rd is killing me man. That Jack Campbell pick is fucking wild man😩. I love Campbell as a 2nd rd pick but mannnnn this 1st rd has me looking a Brad differently now. #InBradWeTrust

  10. He would still be there at the 2.3 and maybe the 2.17. Nothing changes – clueless team doing stupid things. At least they are consistant.

  11. Holmes said both Gibbs & Campbell were the highest on their board. Sounds like BPA to me.

  12. The second rd gonna be even worse the lions always draft someone u don't expect thats why we lose every year i think they don't like suoer players watch tomorrow they gonna do something stupid again we gonna start 0-10

  13. Imagine, youtubers and fans think they know more than NFL GMs! Y'all work at Wal-Mart for a reason, you don't know what you are talking bout… Let the professionals do there jobs….

  14. Gibbs can be a threat from anywhere on the field and we've never had that! Campbell is a tackle machine that will play hard every play

  15. Draft was a disaster we got to second rounders for our first round picks SOS just about the last thing this team needed was a running back. And what's with the throwback Chris Spielman 1990s clone they were both terrible reaches.

  16. Gibbs is a generational back – time will show – and Campbell… ? I'll just go "In Holmes We Trust!"

  17. Not how I would have done the draft, but it’s clear that they chose players who fit the Dan Campbell and Brad Holmes mold. Its a different approach than taking the best player and it just might damn well work. Williams was a first rounder who we traded up for and now he’s on a 6 game suspension like an idiot. Yes he might be the best wide receiver we have but you can’t be the best when you are out for 6 games. Character matters more to this gm than anything else and it will be interesting to see if it’s effective at winning football games. Effort beats talent every time and if there is only a small gap between the players talent but there is heart and a drive, we could be seeing the birth of the lions team that’s contenting every year for quite some time to come.

  18. We all know the lions wanted Witherspoon. When he wasn’t available, they just said let’s draft the needs. I’m not mad at the pick. We all know swift getting traded at max before the deadline, and Jack Campbell probably could’ve went in the beginning of the 2nd. But mannn all this talent still falling to the 2nd round, and we have 3 picks in the 2nd round. Day 2 might be better than Day 1 tbh

  19. Nope day 1 starter and one of the best defensive players in the draft. We have a strangle on the 2nd round right now and will be able to fill TE with maier and keeanu benton who is extremely athletic for the dt position

  20. The people saying these picks are bad are the same people who have been stuck in the past. They’re also the same people who think they know better then a GM, like they’re somehow more qualified. Holmes doesn’t give a fuck about mock drafts. He has a plan & he’s sticking to it regardless of how the media feels.

  21. was surprised at first. after a deep dive they both make perfect sense. people get too strung up on "could have drafted this player in the 2nd/3rd." no one has a crystal ball to tell when they actually fall. you get the players you know are a culture fit and if thats 5-10 spots higher than anticipated you live with it. no guarantee they could have traded up to land them.

  22. They should've traded down from 12 with the Steelers who badly wanted Broderick Jones. They coulda got him at 18 smh.

  23. I think the Lions drafted at least 4 starters, 2 on offense and 2 on defense to go with a special roster of future ass kicking champions – Gibbs, Campbell, LaPorta, and Branch
