Prospects should always have the opportunity to make the team, no doubt. However, they also shouldn't be guaranteed spots. See Casey Mittelstadt, 2018 or Mikhail Grigorenko, 2012-2013.
Love all the arm chair GMs in here who think they know better. Same ones complaining are probably the same ones who cried when the Bills drafted Josh Allen.

If he doesn't Re-Sign Kahun we shouldn't trust him at all.
Sabres could have traded down 4-5 spots and still be able to pick Jack Quinn. Adams is such a rookie. I was looking forward to see us pick a top prospect. There was 11 of them in this draft and Quinn wasn’t one among them. Awful pick…
I wanted Rossi too! But Jack Quinn was worth a Top 10 pick as well. And if developed properly? he will be a good pick/player for the Sabres going forward.
