Watson mocks Tarasenko after their ‘collision’

St. Louis Blues sniper Vladimir Tarasenko goes down after some contact with Nashville Predators forward Austin Watson who would then make a few gestures showing what he thinks of the ‘injury’.

  1. Seemed like pretty harmless contact, though looked like intentional by Watson and was not at all expected by Tarasenko. Cannot though understand why refs whistled – especially as the whistle game exactly when NSH was having a good scoring opportunity.. Fully agree with many comment here, it seems that there is inconsistency in the way these kind of situations are handled. Obviously first concern should be player safety but still consistency is required.

  2. Come on Tarasenko, your better than that!!! that's some lame thing Cindy Crosby would do…

  3. he doesn't even grab the area he got hit lmao. embellishment. should get fined for that. stopped the entire play for nothing

  4. I know it looks like embellishment, but I think it was a shot a the liver. That will shut you down for a little bit

  5. What we didn’t know then we know now it was a cheap shot on a guy that was hurt at the time and dude knows he tried to ruin a career of a fellow union member right

  6. It’s obvious not much but looking back on it Tarasenkos shoulder problems were around this time. Easy to figure it popped out on a hit like this.

  7. Was this maybe a part of his issue with his shoulder? I know he’s had a few upper body injuries but I don’t really keep track of all of them because it’s hockey. It’s like tracking Johnny Knoxvilles injuries x1000

  8. Looked like a liver shot that hit him just at the right spot/angle to stun him for a couple seconds. It doesn't take much to do that if hit right.

  9. Should have been a five minute embellishment penalty and a nice rest of the game in the room.
