@350z89 Clearly hockey isn't a sport you are familiar with, if it was you would be smart enough to know that were as luongo had his share of the blame, the whole team fell apart, they weren't able to play their style because it was far to dependant on the power play and they were attempting to win favor with the officials far too often. Do you truly believe that putting corey in between the pipes in a Stanley Cup final would have helped them score goals on thomas? get real….
@Canuckfan124 kk first of all, its cory not corey. second you may know hockey but you dont understand….. i absolutely agree that if cory hadve started game 6 of the SCF we wouldve won the cup that night… as soon as cory came in it was a different game. the canucks rallied back got 2(shouldve been 3) goals and probably wouldve won. so dont rule out any possibilities.

Put him in net against and an agressive and hungry bruins team that have the refs in their back pocket and they would have done the same damage. Quit living in the past, we lost the cup… fine, time to get over it and try again, Schneider is playing better than Luongo, so he gets the starts, in the finals.. either goalie we chose would have gotten lit up.
pls dont hate on luongo,,, we all age and performance does suffer,,(except thomas,,,he's a late bloomer..lol)…he played so many games his career so the wear and tear is there…plus not a lot of players know Shneiders weakness yet….. thus his success…
@dsrevo79 Luongo also had 4 shutouts in the playoffs last year, with 2 coming in the finals. And none by Shnieds, not that i'm hating on him. He's definitely one of the best backups in the league.
lu—- wins mostly overtime, lose mostly in shootouts, lets 3 goals in 5mins, cant control the game its always 50 – 50….
cory schneider— wins surely, leaving a smile and fun for the fans,always in tremendous winning games, allowing mostly just 1 goal, controls the game and more accurate and sharp saves, very calm and quicker..best in records,,,,

Honestly, I love both Lu and Schneider. I don't want either of them to leave, which is highly unlikely. If Lu doesn't have a good game once in a while, we know we can count on Schneider to step in. But, I just can't picture Lu in a different jersey. I hope somehow they both stay! 🙂
Luongo is going to give Canucks a list of 4 teams that he'd be willing to waive his no-trade clause for, two of them being Toronto and Tampa Bay. Looks like Cory Schneider will be around for a little bit longer (I hope!)
luv lu and schneids. would luv to keep them both but its not goin to happen. lu is a proven elite goaltender and will never agree to back up – he still has many years of elite goaltending in him. schneids has proven that he is too good to be a back up, and much much better than about half of the nhl starters (at least). we dont know how he is goin to perform as a starter with 60 games or so in a season, meaning he is unproven yet as a starter- but i think he will do great. ♥ luuu! ♥ schneids ♥
