You guys are really dumb lol. Stützle is saying he could have waited to sign until this summer and then signed 10 mill after putting up 90 points.
Not a soul would ever expect Nylander to have the work ethic to be a full-time centre. This is the leafs trying to maximize potential return on a trade if necessary because trading a current centre that can play wing is worth a lot more than a current winger that can play centre.

Uhhh let’s not forget guys that Zegras is 23… He can still improve but how much can he improve by? He doesn’t do anything else other then get points so I understand the hesitation from the Ducks organization
Younger players get their contract thinking they are getting 7-8 million dollars every year, then when they end up with 40-50% of that they are like, Oh, wait… wtf. The NHL designed the cap and recapture to make it look like they make way more while actually making way less. Before agents, taxes, or anything else the NHL takes 18% every year. On top of that, the teams and gm's and what not tell the players how they have lots of time to make their money, tell them to take less money for now etc. implying the team will pay them later, and then (see tampa bay) they tell them wait and see and it's, "Oh, well i didn't mean make your money from us."

I think they offered the 4M on the bridge deal, because of the potential QO. For the refference look at what was Meier's and DeBrincat's QO, when they had bridge deals roughly around 6M, the QO was near 10M. So Anaheim probably doesnt trust Zegras, that he will be worth in 2-3 years 10M…
Zegras is such a defensive liability too. You need to bridge him so he can round out his game but he will get there!

Went to the game today and it was fine. Reports from the practice day was that it was too hot in the arena and not the ice issue. Worked it out! All went well today.

A good arena in a hot climate is well insulated and has multiple chillers that pump freon below the ice surface.
I think zegras is great comparable to nylander when he signed with the leafs he had very similar number, to me zegras need to get at least William nylander money

My guess they're gunna trade Nylander and possibly Gio in that on a buyout for a RD (the right guy/ contract) and a slew of draft picks after Brad sees who's tanking that isn't on the 10 team list. Then he'll sign Kane for 1 year at 7mil.
