  1. I loved Pearson, he was a good leadership presence and also was good in his time with the Canucks with Bo, but I think his time with Vancouver was done when the new management didn't treat his injury properly, and this, I think is the last tie to all the drama that went on last year and gives us more a clean slate. Wish him well in MTL, but I like this move for us

  2. This move instantly gives the Canucks much better goalie depth for this year and frees up a winger spot for a player to step up in training camp. Again, giving up a draft pick isn't ideal, but I also don't hate it took a 3rd round pick to free up $1.5-2M of cap space in a flat cap world.

  3. Let’s throw away the future. We don’t need picks. Chicago built a cup winner through the draft. The New York islanders did the same. Tampa Bay once again through the draft. What does Tampa and the golden knights do when they are over the cap ? They don’t trade plus a draft pick. As Canucks fans we have 2 guarantees in life we will one day surely die and the Canucks will never win the cup.

  4. I was bored one night recently and looked canucks 3rd round draft picks up to 2019 were juni jurmo, tyler madden micheal dipietro . People crying about later round draft picks need to do research its totally a lottery. None of those players listed will be playing in the NHL.

  5. 3rd basically unlikely to be nhl calibre so it’s a win for Canucks plus they get goalie competition

  6. I wonder what the Pearson family did to the Rutherfords in past generations 😂 tanner pearson traded by Jim Rutherford yet again

  7. They solve the Pearson and cap problem and acquired a backup goalie. Cost them a 3rd but its worth it for moving another garbage Benning contract. Nice piece of business from the Canucks.

  8. Excellent trade for Vancouver… I am impressed. I haven't said that a lot about Allvin… I have to say it here. This could easily make a 5 to 10 W's difference in the standings compared to Martin as backup; and keeps Silovs in development down in Abby. Tanner gets out of a bad-vibe situation with all that surrounding his injury, cap hit is lowered, and the 3rd wouldn't see playing time, if ever, until approaching 2030, so… who cares, if the goal is to impress Petey into re-signing and committing, NOW. Love this move; there's not a bad thing about it. NOW ON TO DUMPING MYERS OFF SOMEWHERE!
