Preseason. They haven’t reduce the team size. They have enough players in camp for multiple teams.

Bettman has scheduled the Coyotes to play back-to-back games non-stop until they sort out a new arena.

NHL holographic players. New thing they’re trying out

Coyotes have so much talent depth they can easily dress 3 separate squads

The blues said they are fielding 2 different teams for the double header, doesn’t that mean the coyotes have 3 different teams right now?

Vancouver did this a couple years ago

Split squad. Enough players with the team to stock 2 rosters. Common in spring training baseball games for a long time but only recently recall NHL teams doing it.

Bettman wants to get as many views for his Coyotes as possible

In the game last night they said the Kings had 27 players there in Oz. A further 40 or so were back in LA. Typical thing. Some nights in preseason you see a team scheduled for 2 games against the same opponent the same night, one at home and the other away as it were. Both are split squad.
