  1. "That certainly wasn't necessary"
Man, this is hockey. Suck it up buttercup.

  2. Solid clean and perfectly legal hit. You have to be able to move and play the puck. Tanev put himself in a vulnerable position by not moving. Just remember if you don't wanna get hit stay off the tracks. Full credit for Dubois for finishing his check. There's nothing wrong with this hit.

  3. Tanev is tough as nails. Unfortunate he stumbled as he was getting hit. Flames fans had a monster cry on twitter about it but that's normal for them.

  4. Looked bad but it would have been a textbook shoulder to shoulder hit if Tanev had not lost his balance a bit right before the hit came. Nothing Dubois can do about that, just unfortunate.

  5. Clean but ugly. And I'm a Flames fan. Tanev slipped up in an unfortunate position making him vulnerable after Dubois committed. Dubois is a big guy who plays a mean game. He's not trying to break Tanev's neck or anything. Glad Hanifin got to him before Bennett because it probably would have been worse than a 2 minute. I'd really rather they take a number and pay him back later but I do admit that it hurts when you don't see an initial response and it's your team that took an uglier looking hit… especially when this year is looking even worse than last for us.

  6. Tanev should know you don’t go into the corner and take your eyes off of players that you know are coming. Thankfully he didn’t leave the game but the hit was clean…Dubois was checking as Tanev was falling.

  7. Not malicious, Tanev unfort put himself in an awkward position amid Dubois check. Anyone crying about it doesn’t understand hockey & the human anatomy lol

  8. Flames announcer: "Not necessary in this situation" in reference to the hit. oh boy, where to even begin with that statement.

  9. at least this time Dubois managed to hit the opposing player, though he was pretty vulnerable
