NHL Hockey is back with the global series going on in Melbourne, Australia. The Arizona Coyotes squared off against the Los Angeles Kings & we saw a potential goal of the year candidate already from Logan Cooley. We breakdown the play & more in this video.

I literally prayed Cooley would fall to us. I was worried about NJ taking him, low and behold, Armstrong took him. I’ve been tooting his horn for the past two years, getting hateful comments from people who just like to hate on the Coyotes cause that’s the cool thing to do. So glad to see him come out strong. I am SO excited for this season. And YES, there are LOTS of other Coyotes fans who are rooting for this team.

There is no reason Cooley cant challenge or win the Calder…. He has a better team around him and lets not act like he has no skills. Bedard is good but is he so much better than Cooley, Fantilli and others in this amazing Calder class

I'm sure you saw the interview where the coaches were giving Zucker credit for keeping Cooley centered in this game. He's going to be a great influence on this kid. Given the support he has, I hope he can make a run at the Calder.

As a Kings fan, my only thought seeing that goal was… "Oh boy, this kid might be a problem." Super fan kid to watch.
Cooley was my puck for best offensive player in his draft by a large margin.
I'm a Chicago fan, but I wouldn't hand Bedard the Calder quite yet, especially because you know some goon is going to go for his knees or coconut first chance he gets.

I was at the game and the arena EXPLODED. We couldn't believe what we saw, let alone in a preseason game, LET ALONE they are all probably jet-lagged like crazy. Keen for today's game.

I travelled from Adelaide for the weekend to see my first live hockey game, and let me tell you, the entire crowd went mad for that goal, we're talking prolonged cheering for this kid, especially seeing him on the bench with a big smile on his face after scoring such a crazy goal. This guy is awesome, and I hope we see a lot more of him in the NHL (and more games Down Under!)

As a Devils fan I really liked Logan Cooley back in the 22 draft. I wanted them to take either him or Nemec at #2 while the rest of the fan base was obsessed with Slafkovsky. Although I am happy with Nemec so far , Cooley reminds me a little bit of Jack Hughes.
