@Montreal Canadiens

This is getting crazy already..

OK Guys, it’s time to take a look at the performance of Juraj Slafkovsky so far throughout the intrasquad games, and talk about the heat that he’s been receiving from Habs fans on social media. Logan Cooley scored a really nice goal a couple of days ago for the Arizona Coyotes, and chaos erupted..

The articles that were in the video were screenshots from Habsfanatics.com, I highly reccommend you to check out this site for further Habs News,

  1. Not a generational player just because he was 1OA. Management is to blame for the way he was handled last season. Nemec and Jiricek both had solid AHL seasons, as did Kulich. I think it's too late to send him to Laval now because of the confidence factor. If this kid busts is because 99% of 18 year old players are simply not ready. This may not end well.

  2. I have faith in him and he has natural abilities not a lot of our guys have up front so it'll be worth waiting to see what he can really be. Rip on joel armia! 🤣 best advice. Leave slaf alone

  3. I’m not on twitter, feels unhealthy. To me, it’s just frustrating we had the no.1 pick 1 year too early. Timing is everything. I’m don’t think he’ll be another McCarron, but I’d be pleasantly surprised if he develops into a true 1st line forward.

  4. Slaf kind of reminds me of lindros. Doesn’t keep his head up because he is so big that he didn’t need too

  5. That's why drafting 18 year olds is so great. It's usually just a crap shoot rather than an automatic reward for mediocre franchises.

  6. We have to remember Slaf came from playing on an ice surface that is almost 15 feet wider than the rinks he is playing in now. So now the ice is ALOT smaller than any ice surfaces he's played on his WHOLE life, so he's also adjusting to the ice while dealing with playing against dudes like Romanov (a good old Hab example), guys that could end your career with one hit, it's a whole new game for him. He's gonna need time to adjust, im sure he will be fine, and hopefully he learned his lesson about keeping his head up, we used to have a lot of drills to make sure we werent always watching the puck. GHG!!

  7. Why couldn't the habs just get number 1 this year instead.
42 years for a question mark is irritating.

  8. Your average qc citizen cries more than they breathe, so its no surprised that the fans from here cry more than newborn babies.

  9. No wonder Matthew Tkachuk hated so much playing in Canada, hero or zero mentality of the fans and media is a big reason why Canadian teams didn´t win the cup in years.

  10. Slav will be good reliable top six player maxing out at 80ish points when he's at his peak prime playing years. What more you can ask for? He will be reliable and dependable.

  11. I hope Slaf follows the channel and blocked all kind of bunk ass articles from these wanna be journalist cockroaches

  12. At some point, people who are frustrated about the pick have to move on. It's the guy we drafted, and nothing will ever change that. I know I wasn't all that happy about the pick at the time, as I wanted Wright, but I'm hoping Slafkovsky will do well for the Habs because he's the kid we have.

  13. Montreal Canadians the most dumbest and idiotic draft scouts I have ever seen in my life . U guys have shit draft scouts just a shameful organization can’t even draft a decent player with a 1st overall draft pick . Embarrassing

  14. Slaf needs to develop. Power forwards in the NHL need time, and so will Slaf. People need to understand he is a work in progress!

  15. I really like Slav, but was shocked how many times he got crushed for being such a Big guy!

  16. All the armchair gm,coach need to just shut up and watch Montreal's draft picks develop at a sensible pace. You rush things and you always screw up. Patience,Patience, Patience is the word.

  17. I stated when he was drafted that the suspicious late riser who had no sustained success in actual hockey leagues, and exhibited mere statistical noise at an opportune moment, would be the next Armia, a fifteen goal, thirty point player.

And nothing he's shown in his fumbling efforts to keep up with the play, complete lack of hockey sense as he gets blown up every second game, and atrocious foot speed has suggested that that prediction is in any way incorrect.

  18. I've never understood why fans actively call our own youngins busts a year after they're drafted. I mean come on b'ys, Slaf only spoke his first word three months ago he's still a pup.

  19. Don’t know how Slaf’s going to turn out but one thing I do know is that even Guy Lafleur took a couple of years before he really got going and he was 20 years old when he got drafted; Slafkovsky’s only 19 so these people should shut up already and cut the kid some slack.

  20. Been a habs fan for my entire existence!
It blows me away for how smart of a fan base we have, that the stupidest part time fans are the loudest… that being said the kid is 19
We knew it wasnt a generational draft! As carey once said chill out… these games are for getting into game shape, he had a limited season. You can’t buy confidence nor size and experience comes with time

  21. funny thing about all of this is that he actually played well at camp. Didn't do anything spectacular but he certainly didn't look out of place.

  22. Had we drafted Cooley instead, the fan base woukd be ripping Cooley…
"Slafkovski was in the NHL, Cooley wasn't. "
"Slavkofski sciured in NA, Cooley scored in Australia ".
The grass is always greener elsewhere.
I believe our fans are a problem.

  23. Typical overreaction by the rabid section of HABS fans.

Thankfully they are a minority and we can hear the voice of reason from other HABS fans here in this channel and others like yours! 👍

Slaf will be FINE. Get off his back and let him play already.

  24. Man, what is it with habs fans hating their team drafting high potential kids? First the Reinbacher debacle, now saying that Cooley is better than Slafkovsky for scoring one goal in a preseason game????

  25. It's just dumb smoke. Don't give it attention. I love idiots judging 19 YEAR OLDS.

  26. I'm a Habs fan and really pissed at the stupidity of other such folks. Cut the kid some slack, and be prepared to eat crow. The way he already uses his body to move other players out of the way foretells a career you crybabies can't see.

Remember: Cooley gave a goal away on a ludicrous turnover just before this goal.

  27. Not gonna lie I wanted Cooley over Wright from the beginning. Vietnam flash backs from Drafting Kotkanemi over Tkatchuk and Quinn Huhges Intensify

  28. As a bruins fan I’m actively hoping slaf is the biggest bust in history, but Jesus give the kid a break he’s 19 and once he learns how to not die every game he’s probably gonna be good.

  29. Slaf did not have a good go last year….. but he is still adjusting to NA ice size, style of play and size of crowds. I can not see Wright being the go to guy and everyone knew Cooley was going to be really good

  30. Slafkovsky will be just fine!!
All of the picks are next superstars until they play the first NHL game and then not so much😊😊😊

  31. There's just no way people are saying Cooley is better than Slaf off of one preseason goal holy shit. I'm just about done with these frenchies hating on their own team because they don't fundamentally understand the game that they like (and yes it's 99% of the time a quebecer saying some bullshit)
