He is "the guy," Evan. He's been the sparkplug for this club for years. It's ridiculous to read comments from some who still harbor concerns about past on-ice foolishness coming into his form this year. This hasn't occurred for some time and discredits his outstanding development into an elite left winger, in my view, the top left wing in the league. This perspective also implies he'd fall back on his former nonsense while wearing the "C" and disrespecting the responsibility of what it stands for on this club and those who've honored the position before him.
And before anyone brings Ovie's name into the conversation about best left wing, at least #63 consistently backchecks and knows where his own end is.
