He's my all time favorite QB that I had the pleasure of watching this man was so smooth and tuff
I am a Pittsburgh fan and I loved watching Peyton Manning play. He is a classy guy and he is missed. I love seeing the Manning brothers in commercials and on ESPN.
I still got my Peyton manning Super Bowl 50 jersey from when I was 10 years old 🥲. Never gonna let it go
That is a true old school football legend respect the game respect the players and respect America
🐐 #88
That rookie record will last forever because no other rookie QB's in today's league will be trusted enough to play their way out of that many mistakes. They'll be benched sometime around week 8.
Indy knew Peyton was the real deal and he had to learn and get better so they let him figure it out the hard way his first season.
We will never see another Peyton Manning he was pure class not like the clowns QB of today
Great speech
Damn that Demaryius Quote teared me up 😞
I’ve been a Patriots fan my entire life, and I have grown up knowing nothing but the dynasty. As a kid, I thought Peyton was the ultimate villain. I always thought he was one of the best ever and I remember both of those championship losses. Now that I’ve become an adult, I’ve grown to really appreciate Peyton and can confidently say he’s one of my favorites ever.
In my eyes he’s the ambassador of the NFL. A true class act loves his competitors, his teammates and coaches, his family, the fans, the grunt, his God and country, and the sport of football. Thank you Peyton
Peyton Manning is a smart, well spoken and heartfelt guy. Add to that one of the best quarterbacks ever, and you have a great guy.
This is such a great speech, because it came from the true heart of a great player and man.
I am glad he finished his career in Denver. I guess it's true what they say: All Colts grow up to be Broncos. Over a decade later, I can still vividly recall Willis McGahee reacting to the team switching from Tim Tebow to Peyton Manning as, "Music to my ears." I think those four seasons worked out quite nicely.
They left off one of the little things from his list, which is enjoying a steak dinner at St. Elmo's after a win. They're a very established steakhouse in Indianapolis, but I do wonder how much business he brought to them by frequenting their establishment? There was an article about St. Elmo's after PM retired. He got to park right by the door and quickly whisked his way into a private elevator, for which he was given a key, to The Manning Room in the basement. And he got to text a code to the owner to let him know of his arrival. His usual fare was NY Strip, potato, salad, Bud Light. That selection at today's menu prices would be about $75.00/person. And I do believe in February 2007 PM personally brought the Lombardi Trophy to the restaurant and it made a round in the dining room. "This community has supported the team. Here's a way of saying thanks." Nice guy…
Pats fan with the deepest respect and admiration for Peyton. Truly moving speech. What an amazing world it would be if everyone found what they loved and could pursue it with the passion which Peyton did with football.
From a Pats fan.. Peyton, you are one of the best football players this game ever saw. A ton of respect for your career. Whenever the Pats had to play you with Indy and Denver, you knew they were going to have to play perfect or damn near it to beat you.
Damn after all these years, this still tears me up…. 🙁
Class act always.
What’s that song at 2:38 called
Absolute legend. On all fronts.
People can say what they want, 7 rings is tough to argue with….but 5 MVPs and 7 first team all pros.
I can only name 3 men who have this in common. Peyton, Tyson, Jordan. Fear. This will never show up on a stat sheet. To be truly feared… I’d the ultimate sign of… fill in the blank.
We miss you Peyton. 7 years ago, and you are the best legend in the American football. Thank you for all.
RIP DT❤123 BRONCOS
AMEN 🙏
Class act!
What’s the name of the song that starts playing at 1:50? I love the old nfl films songs.
Genesis 1:4
And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
I really wish he didn't have to win a Superbowl against my Bears but then again I'm glad it was him other than anyone else
love how peyton won’t keep his religious beliefs out of his public speeches
Matthew 11:30
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
So great….
John 9:5
As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
Proverbs 15:1
A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.

Hold on Marvin Harrison is Peyton’s best WR ever. He didn’t mention Marvin in his speech.
Is their a resin for this?
Can’t believe it’s been 6 years since he retired
The Broncos still haven’t recovered.
Never was a fan. But holy moly! Yeah he said it all!
My goat, would have loved to see 2013-14 Manning take on Mahomes and his Chiefs
I’m a 49er fan, and while I grew up believing Joe Montana was the best … once I actually played quarterback and study mannings and Brady’s film to become a good QB, there’s no doubt in my mind that Peyton is the greatest of all time
The Great Peyton Manning “Legendary”

The SHERIFF! RIP D. Thomas 🙂
Greatest football speech ever. Did Brady even do one like this when he retired?
