  1. I'm so freaking excited for this year. Stoked to have opening day tix, even if i have to drive 4.5 hrs away to get there

  2. I have zahorna as my dark horse for the 3lw spot. I like the idea of Doc, ellers, zahorna. Size, speed, forecheck and some decent hands. Ive liked zahornas game at the nhl level. I also read he stood out positively all game yesterday.

  3. I don't see why Nylander can't take Jakes spot in the 1st line. Let the kid show what he can do beside a great center and winger. Gotta give these young guys a shot. We don't do that enough.

  4. I must have watched different games. Nylander was okay on the forecheck, weak on the backcheck, and looked lost many many times. His 200 foot game was sub par and nowhere near where it needs to be if he is playing against NHL caliber talent. Yes, this was game 1 preseason, but for a guy who some yinzers keep hyping up, I'm not up on Nylander whatsoever. We should be talking about Poulin who had a WAY better showing in game 2 and against the likes of Jenner, Laine, Johnny Hockey, Ken Johnson, Severson, Werenski, Gudbransson, AND against #1 goalie Elvis. Finishing checks, forechecking like a madman, getting his stick in lanes, shooting the puck when he had a chance. Yes he did take a lazy hooking penalty but Poulin wants to stay in the Burgh and last night he showed it.

  5. I hope Zahorna makes the team. He looked really good out there yesterday and can bring more size to our bottom 6.
