What’s better for the team? 3 years or long term 7-8 million per?

Part of the problem (I assume) is that Zegras sees himself as a center (And wants to get paid like one) and the team (long term) will want to slot him at wing. McT and Carlsson (long term speaking) will be better centermen and it is ludicrous to pay your 3C in the ballpark of 7-8M (Even for 3 years).

  2. Better long term, total value will skyrocket because of the increasing cap. Even if he got 8×8 it’ll be cheaper then what he might get paid doing a bridge deal first.

Both are fine for the team, either we pay for potential and later in the contract he’s worth more than he’s paid, or we go bridge, and in 3 years we pay him the long term he’s worth, with an extra 3 years on the end than what we would have had. And it all is reliant on him proving himself with the bridge.

Cap is going up. Zegras wants a piece of the pie.

We stutzle contract also was an underpayment instantly.

Zegras probably 9.5 million signs for 8 years.

  5. What are you even asking? If the ask was 8×8 the team would’ve signed a long time ago. It’s clear that he’s asking for more then that.
