  1. so painful to watch, I feel so bad for him. no hard feelings to fiala, he definitely seemed concerned and felt really bad

  2. I don't see anything that warrants a penalty that's for sure. Hope Zucker is okay, poor guy can't get a break.

  3. Cross-check/shove from behind into the boards. With how soft the refs were calling this game, it amazes me they let this go. Even if Zucker's skate didn't get caught up it would've been an awkward fall into the boards.

  4. 9 yrs in MN so, yeah, we feel for you in Pitt. He was also a fan favorite here. definitely was not a cheap shot as Fiala could have really F'ed him up if he was intent. this was not a penalty – what would be the call if it was ? cross checking ? it looks like he barely tapped him. not Fiala's fault that Zuck was not ready for the contact.

  5. NHL is the absolute tops of the game worldwide. Happenings like this show why we appreciate our sport so much, as fans and competitors.

  6. Fiala clearly a pro at this subtle cheap shot, has done it multiple times already, just really sad Zucker’s skate caught an edge

  7. The guy can’t catch a break. Got activated from IR that morning and gets injured first game back.

  8. That knee got bent in a real bad direction when his skate hit the boards

  9. Fiala is a good sport. He might have cost them the goal by stopping and checking on him. Shows his mindset is right.

  10. I hope Zucker is OK. He's valuable and if he's healthy I still think he's a solid 25g-50pt guy.
    We need him healthy!

There was no cheap shot. Fiala just touched him and he lost balance awkwardly while trying to get the puck.

  11. Tough luck for zucker, but he’s known for over exaggerating every injury. Maybe he’ll be back soon. Can’t tell you how many times he limped off the ice putting no pressure on one leg only to come play the rest of the game moments later in MN.

  12. "Oh I only meant to do a dirty crosscheck from behind while a guy in his first game back approaches the boards, I didn't mean to INJURE him"
    Idiot deserves a suspension.

  13. very mild hit, but Zucks unfortunately fell funny. There are 100 hits a game like that, but this one just turned out horribly for Zucks. Too bad, first class guy, and still loved by Minnesota fans

  14. The issue is that it is reckless. Just like the hit he put on Matt Roy last year. Him acting contrite doesn’t help the injured player.
