Massive blockbuster
As a Canucks fan, I actually loved Pearson's contract. As a middle 6 utility piece, 3.25mil ain't that bad. When healthy he was a very good player for us. But the sad fact of the matter is, we needed cap space and he was the victim. Nobody wanted the Chaos Giraffe's contract (Tyler Myers) and it looks like nobody wants Garland's contract. So Pearson was the casualty. I honestly think Montreal is really gonna like Pearson. There was lots of positive talk in the locker room about Pearson. He's a great dude. Honestly I am very sad to see him go. Especially after our garbo media grilled him so hard during the end of season pressers after last season. Wish him nothing but the best. Losing a 3rd rounder and Pearson hurts. All for a 32 year old goalie we "hope" bounces back who also isn't likely to be here beyond this coming season. Ouch.
