Sabres look sharp
First off, I thought my NESN feed was lagging by about 7 seconds, nope it was Jack Edwards having a stroke for 60mins. Levi and Cooley were really good. Mitts was back to form and could have had 5 points with the great setups he had. The prospects that were there did okay. There were a lot of opportunities for the young kids. Dee Von and Nade-O stood out. <– not a typo, thats how Edwards pronounced their names. Stillman stopped so many plays (at least 3 by my count) in our zone by just finishing his check on his man and then a Sabres came in an easily controlled the puck. I really hope Granato shows the players film of that. 2 things I took away from that game, our goalie situation is looking good, and never again watching NESN broadcasts. 😂
Had I known Jack Edwards was doing the play call on tv I probably would of gone to the game so I wouldn’t have to listen to him. He was truly horrific tonight.
I was forced to watch a feed from the Bruins broadcast, but it may have been a blessing in disguise. My favorite part of the game turned out to be when the broadcasters were forced to admit, “The Sabres look like they have their goaltender!”, after Levi made a flurry of difficult in close shots! I yelled at the screen, “ Hell Yeah we do!” It felt great!!

There were times Benson looked like the best player on the ice. For a little guy he's unbelievable on the boards and in the corners. More than once he had 2 guys right on him and he was still able to pull away with the puck. I'm liking this kid A LOT.
I just want someone to step up this year and drop Lucic on our home ice. Just once. Someone's gotta be the hero lol. Imagine how loud that building would get.
I can't believe I'm writing this, but I think Benson is ready to make the team. Logic might say he should probably go back to juniors for a year and continue to develop his game and strength, but I feel like he could play on our team right now and rack up points. I absolutely love this kid. His positivity, IQ, and heart he brings to the game. There's also something symbolic about him wearing number 9 but being the opposite of Jack Eichel. Maybe he's also the Patrick Kane type of player we needed all those years ago, minus all the drama. Plus he can play defense.

I love the sabres but I wasn't stressed at all I hate the preseason and it's a joke I feel but we look pretty good so far I can't wait till the season starts to see if we're going too be good and finally end this drought let's go sabres
