  1. Petey plays well defensively. The Selke talk is a bit of a stretch but he puts in a full 2way effort every game.

  2. RA is right about the canucks fading in 2011 but just gotta point out they did win the presidents trophy the following yearā€¦ out first round but just pointing that out

  3. No mention of Hronek? The guy was on pace for 50-60 points as a dman last year and heā€™s not mentioned once in this whole video? Multiple times they mention Canucks only have one decent puck mover on the back end like come on guys do your fā€™ng research!

  4. 1st time Iā€™ve heard a Canucks breakdown on Chiclets where RA doesnā€™t allow his inner Bruins homer to ruin the segment. Probably because he knows Bieksa wouldnā€™t let that shit slide

  5. Pettersson has more upside than Bergeron… if he stays healthy. Bergeron's concussion in 2007 held him back for a season, but even though he's a French Canadian, I would still put Pettey on par or higher than. Time will tell.

  6. Tell me you don't watch Pettersson without telling me you don't watch Pettersson"

Biz: He's gotta show more defense in his game.

    Mission accomplished.

  7. So is this the podcast where retired millennials whine about their old coaches that didn't kiss their ass and you drink a girls date rape pink juice called Pink Whitney

Mike Madano didn't play 1500 games and his vagina was never the same šŸ™

Break out the Rainbow sweaters boys, this is season is going to be fabulous.

Mike Commodore got a million dollars to do nothing for a whole year, that's so tough, white queer problems…

  8. Realistic: Theyā€™ll scrap it out with Seattle for the wildcard and itā€™ll probably come down to the last game of the season to figure out if theyā€™re in or not. The moves made this summer make sense, and I want to believe. They probably come up just short again, but itā€™ll be a fun team to watch.

Pure fantasy: They gel in camp, come out strong, hit mid season in the top 4 in the conference, and coast in as one of the top 3 seeds in the Pacific. Nobody gets hurt, they win a couple rounds. (I know, Iā€™m laughing too just typing that)

Either way, this season already has a different feel to it. Drop puck!

  9. You gotta really gotta do homework before you say a guy is worth something or notā€¦ pettersson was 2nd in blocks by a forward in the league, 1st in pk goals and points in the league, 1st in drawing penalties in the league, 74 hits, positive gw/tk ratio for 56 tk and 47 gwā€¦ he did all that while having 44% dzone starts, to put into perspective Bergeron hasnā€™t done that in almost 10 years. Pettersson is easily worth 11 mill.

  10. Petey been both offensive and defensive with Bergy gone he about to show everyonešŸ”„šŸ‘ŒšŸ½

  11. Petterson was 7th for Selke Votes. He's good offensively and defensively already, rest of team sucks tho.

  12. 12:11 I'm not convinced Demko was even healthy at the start of last season. He had off-season surgery and I often wondered if he didn't fully heal properly. And then of course getting re-injured when he did, that was the season for the team. When he came back, he was nothing like the guy in preseason and October/November. He was back to the way he should be.

17:53 A bunch of talking heads last summer heralded the Flames as being "better" with Kadri and Huberdeau after the dust settled on last summer. I was in the minority saying we'd have to wait and see what Kadri could contribute to the Flames, and I said Huberdeau was going from a team where he had guys to play with, to a team where he pretty much didn't. I don't think I've ever been so right about a hockey scenario as I was with Huberdeau being moved to a team without a good enough supporting cast of players. People where I live in Alberta are pretty much writing them off for this season as well. They're welcome to prove me wrong.

  13. All we need as Canucks fans is this… Sneak into the playoffs and bring some size on D…Booyah!

  14. The bullshit line from Rutherford that they wanted to pay Horvat for who he had been as a player over his career , not the contract year player he was. JT got full dollars despite being close to aging out. Donā€™t drop the ball with Peter!

  15. Canucks underachieved last year. Their roster has improved. They will definitely have a chance at making the playoffs, depending on injuries of course.

  16. Getting a lot more from JT Miller, I know right like a point per game is so ghetto. OMG Pettersson is an established two-way player ffs. Aquilini is not cheap, EP is betting on himself!

  17. The PP argument for Pettersson is stupid. You could say the same with McDavid, half of his points came on the PP.

  18. If Mikeyev and Hronek can stay healthy and live up to their potential on a consistent basis, that could help out the odds as well. There's A LOT of things that need to go right for them to get a chance at making it in, but at least the moves they made in the summer gives them a better chance at stability in terms of defense compared to last year. Also, if Kuzmenko, Boeser and Hoglander really turn it up this year, that would help out if some bigger impact players get injured.

  19. the media is negative after a decade of bad hockey, shocking. good for them to hold them accountable. when the team is good, the media praises, this is kinda BS if you ask a local

  20. Enjoyable listen, except for the guy who can't get beyond inserting "fucking" every 5 or 6 words…. gets tiring
