Powerplay Shows Promise! | Danielson Buries His 1st | Wings Edge Out Penguins



The Red Wings eeked out a vicotry over the Penguins in their 1st preseason game, winning 4-3. The powerplay showed promise, scoring twice in six opportunites. Goals from Danielson, Larkin, Seider, and Rasmussen put Detroit over the top. But it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows, the defense left some to be desired and Detroit had seven turnovers. But overall a good performance. #lgrw

    Danielson impressed in both the prospect tourney, and tonight. I don't think him seeing at least some NHL action this year is out of the realm of possibility.

    great episode boyz! if the wings can score 2+ goals on powerplays and only give up 1, then i think this season will be drastically different from the last decade. I just wish they would put in more effort in the second period. I know its pre season game one, but after watching every game I can for the last 5-6 years or more I've always hated how they where always playing catch up in the second and third period. they dont have to be scoring tons of goals, but always playing from behind has killed their "spirits" if you will… again great show I just discovered locked on a few months ago I think I've watched every episode. since June-ish. keep it up gents great info

    Gostisbehere already has me wondering what it will cost to re-sign him. Offensive generation from the blue line was on a completely different level with him on the ice. And he’s not a big liability on D.

    Haven’t seen it on the wings since… Rafalski? Lidstrom? It’s been a decade.

    So the Red Wings starters are better than an EHL/ECHL/OHL team. 2/6 on the power play against a fourth line defense. Great start for a team going nowhere fast!

    Sprong in ADB's spot

    Idk about the comments about the goaltending… I know there were some missed played defensively, but Reimer let in 2 goals on like 9 shots. Thankfully, I’m hoping for Lyon to take the backup spot. Lol
