While I liked Slaf with Andy/Newhook I am v down to see Slaf with RHP and Dach — that’s a really fun line. Andersson-Mesar-Heineman could be a top line in Laval so also should be fun to watch. And I really think Trudeau could fight for that 6/7D spot, Kovacevic is a good partner for him.

Pretty happy with that 2nd and 3rd line, exactly what I want to see in a preseason game.
RHP and Dach were analytical darlings last year and both pair up pretty well on paper with Slaf, though he’ll need to shoot the puck more than he has been.

Putting all the good stuff on ice tonight, I see. I wonder if it’s due to some of the more unknown names on the bottom half. Either way, finally gonna get some Big Dick and Goal Goal energy straight into my veins, I’m ready.

Je sais pas à quelle point ces lignes là peuvent être des indications sur le possible line-up d’ouverture, mais si c’est le cas j’aime bien l’idée de jumeler Matheson et Savard. On parle de ne pas brûler nos jeunes et je crois que d’avoir ces deux là ensemble pour prendre les match-ups difficiles et affronter les meilleurs trios adverses pourraient laisser le reste de la – très jeune – brigade défensivce acquérir de l’expérience dans un meilleur contexte.

RHP will either play a bigger role in board battles, front net presence or both. Either way, this means MSL wants to see what Slaf can do when he doesn’t have to be focused on those responsibilities. Evaluation time Slaf, show them what you can do.

I’m somewhat surprised they didn’t include Newhook. Given he is quite new to the org I would have figured they want to give him his ‘reps’ ahead of season.
