OMG I LOVE YOU LEGO! ❤❤❤
1) ppl compared slaf to Nash when he was drafted and that was absolutely ridiculous. They may have similar frames, but are very different players.
2) ppl waiting for slaf to put up points are going to be forever disappointed. Cooley and maybe wright will outscore him at the pro level. Slafs game isnt accruing points, it's creating, finishing, and grinding.
3) im witholding likes until you explain what your tagline says.
Both had rough rookie seasons. Jack needed time to get used to the speed and physicality of the NHL; his second season showed massive improvements and the underlying numbers suggested he was about to explode. Fast forward to now and he's a superstar. Give it time, Canadiens fans.
People out here comparing an nhl superstar to a nobody lol
Slafkovsky is so soft….he has size but doesn’t use it at all….typical European. Look at the hit he took at the end of the last game…..that hurt him!? Lmao he’s no first overall pick…..the habs and their fans are going to severely regret not taking Cooley lmao
Plz more of Washington
Slafkovsky and Byfield are so divisive but what i dont get is all the hate already- THESE GUYS were always going to take longer. Big-bodied players take around 400 games to develop properly to whatever their upside is and even if speed up the timeline for their star starus- its ridiculous to wind up their timeline into 20 games??!!
We have no idea if hes going to develop yet and people.pretendimg they do sound just as silly as the gugs swearing hes an all star. He is a big bodied raw talent who was drafted off of basically one very good tournament where the signs of greatness were as good as they get- ragdolling grown men en route to the scoring lead. He wasnt even drafted on the back of his superb skills- its ehat he flashed when he oht it all together for one tournament.
If he can get to that level in the NHL hepl be a star- if he cant he wont- but whatever happens 20 games is a ridiculous point to try and draw any meaningful conclusions- thatd be like predicting a fight based on the forst half of a round and declaring a winner. Its nonsensical.
I think he DOES get there ftr and i think there is probably a threat for 40 goals and 90 points in any given season- but i absolutely acknowledge i can be wrong. Today he just needs game time- he needs to learn to assert himself physically on a consistent basis, he needs better consistemcy all around, hes gotta stip gripping his stick so hard and hes gotta keep his head up. If he does that well have a better idea after 200. To say it one way or the other is just roleplaying…
The whole " let the guy cook line" has got to go. Its so fckin annoying to hear every idiot say the samething over an over again. Pathetic
I enjoyed the video but the comparison should stop at #1 pick… the players have zero similarities outside of poor first season (even these were for different reasons)… Jacks issue was physical… Slafs issues are mental… hope Slaf figures it out… Jespar Bratt had the same issues his first season… he started seeing a Mental Skills coach and it has had a great effect…
Slaf is bad, period. From Habs fan. Habs should fire their scouts, all of them.
Slafkovsky is probably just a humble guy who doesn't want to take charge yet. Once he sees that he's better than most of other NHLers, he will take off.
Comparing apples to apples, Hughes numbers in his rookie season when he was 18 are very similar to Slafkovsky’s at the same age. But Hughes played for an 8th place team that was 28-29. I do not know whether Hughes was mis-deployed on the 4th line, like Slafkofsky was or had as little ice time.
