We have the NHL equivalent of Mike Tomlin.
Putting into words what frustrates me the most about the Slaf criticism at this point – he’s 19 and is, in fact, progressing, even if not at the pace of some other 1st overalls (though others also struggled early). He is already probably a 40ish point forward and by all accounts is just going to get better. We won’t know if he’s going to become a PPG winger or closer to a 50-60 pt winger for a few years, so I don’t think there’s a point in trying to come to any conclusions now about which it will be.
