Not really a surprise but still disappointing. He hasn’t written something for The Athletic in awhile and his bio didn’t say he worked there anymore. The Athletic has also been cutting team beat reporters, though it sounds like he chose to leave for another job.
I guess the big question is whether his new job is covering the Caps or not. If not, then that is a major loss for the fanbase.
