I love that his closest comps are Thornton, Spezza, and Byfield who are all huge
I started praying he’d fall all the way to Buffalo as soon as he made it past pick 5 or 6. Kid is stupid talented. Would have easily gone higher if he was just 1-2” taller and 10lbs heavier.
At the game against the B’s, he was like a tunnel rat out there- just swerving and sliding and all of a sudden POP it’s Benson wide open/ Benson AT THE SIDE OF THE NET/ Now Benson leads it out, partial breakaway! I believe any casual could have watched that game and been like dang who is 9??
