  1. I’m so excited for the shitstorm on here if/when this happens.

    Let’s gooo 88

  2. stuiephoto

If that’s truly the case, we dont plan to keep anyone from the minors.

  3. That_One_Shy_Guy

Why? He’s slow and old, in hockey context.

  4. timhortonsghost

No thank you, we already have plenty of Tage at home.

  5. sadbuffalosportsfan

I created this username just in case this happens. (not really, but it fits)

  6. ScottyOnWheels

It would be a risky signing..

    … for local cab drivers.

  7. The_Chrizz

It’s a fun probably bad idea but if it happens I trust the current management

Adding Kane would be a great idea if he were four or five years younger.

  9. I hated everything about this idea until the last few exhibition games, now I’m 5% okay with it. As it looked like no one is ready to join Peterka and Cozens on the second line. Except maybe Mittelstadt or Krebs, but I think that would thin out the bottom 6 too much.

But why couldn’t they just pick up Tatar instead? He’s healthy, a much better fit and overall a better player than Kane was even before having this hip surgery.

The guy’s xgf% on the Sabres would be so bad. Who is going to help stopgap his defensive liabilities? All the other forwards already have those same liabilities.

I’m okay with it if 1) Kane is dying to play in Buffalo and 2) he comes in on a bit of a redemption path to close out his career… help Buffalo make the playoffs and contend for a cup. If he knows he’s not the star I think he could offer a lot to the team. I trust GMKA.

  12. From a marketing standpoint alone it’s a no brainer. The amount of Kane sweaters we’d sell would be enormous. Goathead Kanes would sell out in a heartbeat.

Local guy, and a true superstar at one time to boot. Might mean you’re favorite young guy had to wait one more year but it feels like an inevitability

It would be pretty funny if Pegula overrules Kevyn because rich people think they are risk taking geniuses, and signs him to an 8×10 contract. And that destroys everything we’ve been patiently building.

  14. AlericandAmadeus

    Please no.

Fuck that dude, AND he can’t play anymore

  15. CornerNo2889

Our forward group is already crowded and lots of younger guys have earned shot at time up that should be the priority

  16. WHY?!?!? Please tell me why we bump one our top six out of their spot for him. The cap space we have this year should have went to a legit goalie to play w Levi and a legit top four defenseman. Our offensive players are the least of our worries. He’s coming off of a major hip operation and will not be the difference between us making or not making the playoffs.

  17. Fuck that, doesn’t make sense to bring in a player that isn’t great anymore and is bad at defense, which is our biggest issue. This would be a very dumb move

  18. I was really against it but I’m for it for a reasonable one year deal. Tons of space before the dahlin and power extensions and fills in much better for the Quinn opening than olofsson. Also provides depth should some on the top six go and can be a go to pp guy
