If they play to their potential they will be a fringe playoff team imo. They've got the pieces, but not the supporting cast to contribute. We'll see if the new guys they got can make a big difference, but their PK looked night and day last night compared to last year.
Pretty bad take, Vancouver probably will have a 'better' season, but the problem is the Knights, Oilers, Kings, Kraken, and even Flames also exist. The pacific legitimately might be the most competitive division in hockey right now.
The only thing going against Seattle is teams will be properly ready for them. They can’t surprise anybody. It’s always harder to make the playoffs the second time because everyone knows you’re good now. That being said they might win the division. They don’t have a weakness and every player is bought in. They are frustrating to play against because they do not give you any room and they play physical.
Vancouver needs their more talented players to get their hands dirty and gritty. Vancouver has a lot of skill but they don’t possess the “we are very difficult to play against” factor in this strong division. Seattle is hard to play against. Calgary also. Vancouver is not. Yet Vancouver has more talent than Seattle and Calgary.
