You’d NEVER expect this from him

Nathan Mackinnon was on the wrong end of a really bad looking play in last night’s Colorado Avalanche and Seattle Kraken game. We’ll cover that and more on today’s NHL hockey video!

  1. They don't "BUMP" skates! Borgen's left leg trips Mackinnon. It really isn't hard to see.

  2. I’m disappointed for him. He’s a better player & person than that.

I’ll say this… if Tampa Bay Lightning were not held together with duct tape…..they would have won 3 straight Stanley Cups.

  3. I would’ve been more surprised if they called the trip than not tbh. It’s playoffs, stuff like that happens all the time, and very clearly wasn’t intentional. It’s much more on mackinnon for being a baby and just going up ice with the rest of the play.

  4. Actually this kinda makes sense for him, not all the time but it happens.

  5. People on here acting like the reffing hasn’t been TERRIBLE throughout the playoffs. Just more of the same this game with tons of missed calls (including this one). Sure, the Avs are playing poorly, but it seems like us 5 on 6 out there sometimes. And that goes for other series as well.

  6. These clickbait titles are getting tiring. Gonna stop watching any of these if I keep seeing them

  7. Huh? MacKinnon has been an entitled headcase for years. One clean, adversity-free playoff run last season doesn't change that.

  8. Mackinnon did something similar last years in the playoffs. Quit on a play (can’t remember if he was celebrating too early and missed an open net or throwing his hands up to complain and allowed a goal against) either way, he hurt his team. Nobody said much because they won the cup tho.

  9. Obviously the video creator is a Avalanche fan. But yes MacKinnon is WELL KNOWN for being a spoiled brat. Like Ovechkin they think every time they hit the ice they deserve a penalty. It's typical

  10. ngl mackinnon is an dick against officials I talked to some retired officials and they all agree Mackinnon has no respect for the officials in the NHL

  11. I don't even want the avs to win game 6. I cannot take another game 7 first round loss at home

  12. He has a right to be pissed at that. It happened right in front of the ref. And im sorry but a trip that results in a turnover should be called every time. These are guys that make a living off of some rules😂

  13. Idk about "never expecting" … this type of Brain-fart Temper Tantrum from Mac, who tbh… I actually LIKE, but Damn he picks his spots don't he?!? Lol Yeah argue with the Ref as your opponents are racing up the ice to eventually score.🤣🤣
Definitely not one of his shining moments.

  14. The Av's can absolutely come back and win 2 in a row on the squids, they just need to gel.

  15. Avs fan – was nervous before this series, partly because I think we'd have been better of playing one of Dallas or Minnesota (the devil you know). I think we hustle to get it to 7 but damn, this has exposed a lot of underlying weakness in the Avs.

  16. He’s hyper competitive. As am I do I feel his pain. He’s probably frustrated with the way series is going as a whole. As an Avs fan I can honestly say they are not playing great hockey and will be lucky to make it out of the first round. If they do they won’t go deep.

  17. Sorry but that was not borderline. It's not the right skate that caused the trip, Mac probably wouldn't had gone down because of that. It was the swinging of the left skate. Borgen knew exactly what he was doing and sorry, it was intentional (anyone who has skated can control that "left" skate). With that said… Mac does whine a bit (has shades of Crosby) and the Avs absolutely do not look like they want to win and they absolutely do not deserve to win right now.

  18. The kraken have much more depth than the Avs. You can’t rely on the same 2-3 players to get you thru a series. The Kraken have surprised me as an all around whole team. Seems like the Avs defense is too relaxed allowing too many goals.

  19. Your red arrow is not where the skate contact took place. As Borgen falls, he kicks his left leg around into Mac's left leg. It's effectively a foot-sweep. The Avs played terrible this game, but you gotta put a little more effort into your analysis. Between this and not even acknowledging that late AF whistle on the Makar hit, you've been selling the Avs short. (Not defending the hit. It was bad, but the whistle is an important factor and not mentioning it at all comes across as lazy.)

That said, love the channel, keep up the good work.

    Edit: red arrow, not circle.

  20. Funny how he didn’t react like that when Makar was clearly offside in the Avs-Oilers series last year. Bad calls can help or hinder you. Grow up, get over it and don’t give up on the play hoping the refs are gonna bail you out.
