  1. Your writing on the white board is impressive. It’s pretty damn small and neat! I’m left handed, would never work lol

  2. I know it's only preseason but my goodness Bedard just looks 3 steps ahead of everyone already.

  3. Hey Shannon historical points link the good Friday massacre leading to a famous requesting of a trade then the same massacre match and a famous nasty injury in Boston.

  4. The Hawks looked like a bunch of guys who never played together. Which is what they were, for the most part. Not to shabby, though, even if they were kind of sloppy.

  5. It’s simply amazing detail/effort you put into your passion! I just don’t understand where you find time to research/study/gather your never ending knowledge of this game? Remarkable! Thx!

  6. Two points in his first game, Shannon – in front of a huge crowd at the Union. No pressure, right?
He looked wired for sound on the short interview after the first period.
I know these two points don't count, but he was on the ice and participated in both goals.
I'm not saying he's going to get 2 per game from now on, but it was a nice showing for the kid.

  7. Bedard definitely has a feel for the puck and he moves fast. I still doubt him ever living up to the hype. This is the NHL and opponents will get a read on his game and be able to slow him down and hit him hard. No doubt he is talented though.

  8. I would not be surprised if the Blues make the playoffs. They just need to add 1 good veteran D with some some size & speed. The fwd group is sneaky good (the 2 rookies of Bolduc & Dean will be good, young Dman Perunovich has good off upside, & their back mul G – Hofer will ve a good one eventually)

Caps too, for some reason, I think they will compete for a WC spot. Nash, CLb, & Van are a bit of a conundrum, they will do well & compete for a WC or fall out of contention early.

  9. Thomas has been working with Adam Oates.. hopefully that means more shots like that one last night.

  10. Sounds like the HYPE is spot on about Bedard! Bedard this Bedard that. The other team there's 3 of him out there coach! Which one should I cover? The one in the middle?

  11. “So that happened…”

I love the dry humor you sprinkle into these. Seriously, such a big part of why I keep coming back.

  12. I did get to watch the Hawks game, but I always like to get your take on the games :). I really liked the interaction between Bedard and the other team members. Was fun to watch. This season should be very interesting and exciting to see how the Hawks do this year.

  13. Was at the Wings/Caps game. 4-3 very respectable for Wings since they were playing almost all prospects against the Caps veterans. No Larkin, Raymond, Seider, Perron, Debrincat, Rasmussen, Wallman, Husso etc for Wings.

  14. One thing about Miroshnichenko. Ovechkin has really gone out of his way to mentor him. The Caps tend to do what makes Ovi happy, so I think Miroshnichenko makes the team.

  15. Bedard looked composed as hell out there, a shame that puck was rolling on his breakaway. I imagine the whole stadium would blow the roof off the place, lol.

Reichel looked so confudent in his game, flying all over the place, fiending for a goal.

Korchinski was buzzing, assisting on Kurashevs goal, and there was one point where he lost the puck down low in St. Louis' end was able to rush back up to stop a potential breakaway

If this all continues into the season, this could be a very fun team to watch

  16. as a hawks fan, yes its weird seeing Perry in a hawks sweater, but i think i love it lol

  17. The success Bedard and others were having at the dot was a nice surprise as well that I can't think can be underestimated. Would be amazing to not lose a weapon at the dot like we've had with Toews for forever.
