5M for Tarasenko and 5M in buyouts has really handcuffed the team. Tarasenko may prove to be worth it but time will tell.
I like the addition of Staios.. more hands on deck, more resources to give the front office chances to succeed and adds that extra accountability for PD and DJ to push for a good season

Sorry boys, I don't think Sokolov is an NHLer. Doesn't seem explosive enough while also lacking hockey sense. To me, he's always a half step behind. That's the difference between a good AHLer and a guy who just can't cut it in the NHL.

I don't think people realize how bad our cap issue is. Yes, trading away Joseph will leave enough room to sign Pinto on a bridge deal. Issue however, is that still leaves the team with only 12 forwards. They wouldn't have enough to sign a guy like Bailey or carry a guy like Sokolov as a 13th forward. They could put JBD on waivers and sign Bailey, or sign Bailey to a 2 way contract and send him down for a short period of time but neither is ideal. My point here is that trading away Joseph, to me, is not a solution. I think some sort of bigger package deal including Joseph, Kubalik, and/or Brannstrom has to be in play.
