personally hoping Guerin is willing to let either of them walk if it isn’t a team friendly deal. I would rather see young guys playing than keeping either Foligno or Hartman, even if it means we miss playoffs for a year or two
Billy G sure loves giving veterans term. Usually it comes with a discount (Goose, Merrill, Zuccy). Kind of strange that Moose would get 4×4, even though I do consider him more irreplaceable than Zuccy.
That Hartman extension had better not be as egregious as Foligno’s…
I think that this can put us in a perfect position to get a Stanley cup once cap hits from 20 and 11 are over. The league cap will raise the same time and if you take a close look at the cup winning teams from the past few years… these deals will hopefully keep these guys around long enough so they can be PRODUCTIVE 3rd and 4th liners if we can develop/sign other players to be on 1st and 2nd line. I like it but we need other players to be the 1st and 2nd liners.
Love Hartman but what about the young guys?
I wanted Zuccy, Hartman and Foligno all to re-sign because I have all of their jerseys, but these are not the numbers I was hoping to see.
